The Gallery: One Day in May, the Tour de Yorkshire in Wakefield ...

I'm joining in with The Gallery this week and the theme is One Day in May...

Last year the Tour de France arrived in Yorkshire for it's Grand Depart and was an unqualified roaring success. Such a grand time was had by all that Yorkshire, recognising a good excuse for a party when it sees one, decided to host it's own version this year and call it the Tour de Yorkshire.

On Sunday the Tour de Yorkshire hit Wakefield. I know next to nothing about cycling but I also recognise a good excuse for a party and, as it turned out, Sir Bradley Wiggins..

Though getting close enough to get his photo proved more of a challenge than cycling up the Cote de Hebden Bridge, probably.

It was such a great day buzzing  with excitement and cheers, I almost felt like taking up cycling myself.

Almost, but not quite.

After watching a friend do the London Marathon - I almost took up running. Similarly to your cycling, almost, but not quite!!
